Family Reading Spirit Week

Monday, March 7th 2016 - Friday, March 11th 2016

With a week full of fun activities and themes highlighting reading, students will examine their own talents, potential and uniqueness while simultaneously learning to recognize the strengths and specialties of others.

This year, we will be highlighting local author Tom Ryan - featuring his book Peeve, My Parent's Pet. The book details the adventures of a little boy who is determined to hunt down Peeve - his parents' mysterious pet.

Reading Week Individual Challenge!

Students will examine their own talents, potential and uniqueness.  They will also try to recognize the strengths and specialties of others.  Age appropriate exercises in drawing and writing will be used to demonstrate their findings.

Students in grades K-1 will each draw a picture of what they think Peeve looks like and write a sentence descrbing how they can be more Responsible, Respectful, and Ready to Learn!

Students in Grades 2-3 can draw what they think Peeve looks like and write 3-4 sentences describing how they could change one behavior at home or at school to become more Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn.

Students in grades 4, 5, & 6 can draw what they think Peeve looks like and write a paragraph or two describing how you could change 1-2 behavior(s) at home or at school to become more Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn!
