Schoolwide Challenge

Students were given a cumulative reading goal of 10,000 extra minutes. As an extra incentive, the minutes will be recorded as boys vs.  girls.  If the boys won, Mr. Foeckler would dress up as Superman on Friday. If the girls win, Mr. Foeckler would wear a princess costume!

As you can see on the big scorboard - the girls were the big winners!

While he admitted to cheering for the boys so he could be a superhero instead, Mr. Foeckler gamely donned his fanciest princess dress and crowniest crown!

By showing exemplary Panther Pride during the week's author assemblies, the students earned a special bonus surpise Friday - it's a bird!

No, wait...a plane!

No - it's...

Super Foeckler!!!

Personal Challenge

Students examined their own talents, potential and uniqueness. They also tried to recognize the strengths and specialties of others.  Age appropriate exercises in drawing and writing were used to demonstrate their findings.

Three finalists from each class were invited to lunch with the author and  one student from each class received the featured book signed by the author.
